AI Overview

AIReviews highlight a strong retro theme, especially early on, with puzzles that link cleanly in a mostly linear path. Difficulty lands around moderate; many escaped with time to spare, though a dim, slower start made some overthink. The common knocks are shabby set pieces, occasional gear failures like dead torches or a broken blacklight, and inconsistent game‑master monitoring.
WeaknessesWorn set pieces and a few failing tools break immersion. Hinting can be mistimed if the GM isn’t watching closely. The opening can feel dark and a bit slow.
StrengthsFun, nostalgic 80s arcade setting with smart use of period objects. Puzzle logic is fair and cohesive, so progress feels earned. When attentive, staff nudge you without killing momentum.
SecurityNo serious safety concerns noted, apart from low lighting and a couple of faulty tools. Communication back to staff wasn’t always reliable, so set a clear help signal before starting.
Level of fearNot scary and suitable for kids who like puzzles. The tension is from the clock, not horror beats.
Actors' gameNo live actors; interaction is through the game master. Oversight varies, from helpful guidance to outdated hints.
Quality of riddlesMostly linear with sensible, readable logic. Some light‑dependent searching early on can wobble if equipment fails. Retro props play a central, charming role.
PlotA power surge zaps you to 1987 and you’ve got an hour to return. The story is light, but the arcade wrapper keeps it cohesive.
Difficulty levelEasy to moderate and friendly to newcomers or families. Veterans may finish comfortably unless they overthink.

Cool concept but the room looked a bit tired, and our torch died mid‑game. The GM wasn’t watching for a while, so getting help was awkward. Still had some fun, just not top tier.

Fun theme and a great first room, with retro gadgets cleverly folded into the puzzles. The space looked a little shabby and our blacklight broke while the host wasn’t watching, so we struggled to get help, but we still got out.

Loved the retro feel and the way every puzzle fed the next. We cruised through without nasty leaps of logic and still had fun. Would recommend to anyone who digs an 80s vibe.

Nice immersion in a retro arcade setting. It started a bit dark and slow, but the game masters nudged us well and the puzzles linked cleanly in a linear path. We did overthink a few steps and still finished with plenty of time.

Our first room with this company and it didn’t wow. The host wasn’t really monitoring, tossed hints for things we’d solved already, and a torch died while staff didn’t notice. Cool idea, but the room felt tatty and a bit bland overall.

Solid, linear flow with clues that actually make sense. We overthought a couple things, asked for a nudge, and the GM steered us gently. Escaped with time left and felt satisfied.

We had a good time, but compared to other rooms at this venue it felt a notch below. The set shows its age and a couple of props misbehaved, which caused minor frustrations.

Theme rocks, maintenance not so much. A light tool failed and hints came for stuff we’d solved ages ago, which broke the rhythm. Fun overall but rough around the edges.

Brought the teens and it was a good fit. The first area really sells the arcade theme, and the puzzles are straightforward without being dull. Not scary, just a race against the clock.
