AI Overview

AIPlayers consistently praise the eerie vibe, immersive theming, and expanding set. Staff and GMs are welcoming, proactive with briefings, and on-point with hints. Scares are present but controlled; most call it spooky rather than truly scary. Difficulty leans medium-to-tough with some math and a strong emphasis on observation.
WeaknessesSome teams found the room math-heavy and unforgiving if you refuse hints. High observation demands can stall progress. Jump scares, while mild, won’t suit everyone.
StrengthsRich atmosphere and thoughtful, theme-led puzzles that use potions, spells, and neat tricks. Hosting gets repeated shout-outs for warmth and timely nudges. There’s even an optional side challenge for extra bragging rights.
SecurityBriefings set expectations and include a heads-up about the jump scare. GMs track progress and step in with hints to keep things safe and moving.
Level of fearMore creepy than terrifying, with a couple of brief jump scares that are flagged in advance. Kids and first-timers managed well after a clear briefing.
Actors' gameHosts, including Sarah, are called friendly, welcoming, and quick with useful hints on request. Interaction supports the flow without breaking immersion.
Quality of riddlesA varied mix of spell-casting, potions, riddles, patterns, and some numbers, all well-embedded in the story. Generally fair with good clueing and hint support. Keen eyes are rewarded throughout.
PlotSneak into Miss Locket’s cabin, nab her spell-book, and get out before she catches you. The story runs through the tasks with secrets and a fun extra objective beyond just escaping.
Difficulty levelSolid medium that can spike to challenging if you avoid hints or struggle with the math. Enthusiasts will feast; newcomers cope well with guidance, with one reviewer pegging it around 3.5 out of 5.

There’s a witchy jump scare—fair warning given—and this room is no pushover. As a practicing witch I felt confident, but the math bits and tight story logic leave little room for error. Don’t freeze up; ask for a hint when you need it.

Sarah was brilliant—friendly, funny, and laser-accurate with hints when we needed them. The set keeps opening up and the puzzles click nicely into the narrative. Top-tier room at a great price.

Took my brother to his first escape and Witch Way Out was the perfect intro. The puzzles are well themed with secrets to uncover, and it’s more spooky than scary, though a few jumps did spike the pulse. There’s even an extra objective beyond escaping, and the set design is stellar—my favorite at DreadLock.

A delightfully witchy room packed with spell work, potions, and riddles. You need sharp eyes and steady nerves; it’s spookier than I expected but never over the top. We had a great time and plan to try more rooms here.

Gorgeous set, proper witchy mood, and puzzles that actually feel like magic rather than math homework. A couple of jumps got us, but the team prepped us and it just amped the fun. We left buzzing and bragging about the side objective.

Loved the vibe and the spell-and-potion logic, though there’s more number crunching than I expected. Hints were spot-on when we asked, so it never dragged. Worth it for the atmosphere alone.

Took my two kids for their first room and the GM made them feel like pros before we started. Spooky lighting, clever tasks, and a tiny scare that was over in a flash. We escaped and they’re hooked now.
