The Legend of Miyalock: Forbidden Magic

Our GM was lovely and timed hints perfectly. The room looks great, puzzles fit the theme, and I’d come back for their other games; just note there are lots of stairs and a few physical moments if mobility is a concern.

The set has a standout built-in puzzle that genuinely wowed us, and the concept lands well. Jump scares were fine but got predictable, and the linear path left some of us waiting. The room’s showing a bit of age and one puzzle wasn’t perfect, which the GM acknowledged, but we still left happy—with free Easter eggs to boot.

Absolutely adored Hellevator. The layout keeps evolving, effects pop, and the puzzle ideas are wildly creative. It’s jumped into my UK top three, and Laura was a star from start to finish.

Bunker 38

The bunker concept and story worked, but our group of six experienced players couldn’t get out because some padlocks were hard to open even with the right code, and one key didn’t match the lock it was meant for. After failing, we didn’t get a proper walkthrough; staff admitted the key was wrong and quickly escorted us out. It felt like a setup issue we couldn’t overcome, which was frustrating.

This one is no pushover. Plenty of friends failed it in small teams; we scraped out at the buzzer. Some really inventive puzzles and an elevator-specific twist that’s brilliantly done.

Captain Riddle's Forgotten Fortune

Back for our second game here, we chose Captain Riddle and had Luke and Laura running it—they were fantastic. The room worked well with kids; our 4‑ and 7‑year‑old nieces could join in, only a tad spooked by the darker bits. We’ve already booked another visit.

Evan hosted our run and nailed the immersion, getting us into full pirate mode. Captain Riddle’s Lost Cove looks terrific and packs engaging puzzles, with a pleasantly long runtime. Huge thanks to Evan for being a legend.

Family of four found it tough and we didn’t make it, but the activity was great overall. The space is tiny and got pretty warm, so claustrophobic folks take note. Staff were lovely and very supportive.

Clueston: We Have a Problem

A strong single-room game from Clue HQ, and it’s wild how much they’ve packed in. I liked that some challenges needed two people while others could be tackled alongside something else. As someone who’s AuDHD, the busy room and lighting were tough at first, but I settled and really enjoyed it. Great room.

The Betrayal of Cluetankhamun

We had a brilliant time in Cluetankhamun. After a small booking slip on our side, the team sorted it quickly and squeezed us in—top-notch service. Jamie, our game master, was fantastic. Can’t rate the place and especially the staff highly enough; we’ll be back for the other rooms.
