AI Overview

AIReviews consistently rave about the theming, nostalgia, and multi-era set design, with several calling it one of their all-time favorites. Puzzles are praised as intuitive yet varied, delivering satisfying penny-drop moments and a smooth flow. Hosting gets special mention for warmth and enthusiasm, and many highlight a standout ending. A tiny minority didn’t love the walkie-talkie hint system or felt the game starts slower before building up.
WeaknessesHints via walkie-talkie won’t be everyone’s preference. A couple of players noted early uncertainty about what certain items were for, and one felt it only really clicked later. That said, complaints are rare and mild.
StrengthsTop-tier set design with loving 80s vibes and era-hopping details, plus great music and effects. Puzzles are fair, varied, and feel smart without being obtuse. The finale is memorable and caps the journey in style.
SecurityNo safety issues called out in reviews; players mention a standard briefing and hints delivered by walkie-talkie. Spaces are described as sizeable and comfortable to move through.
Level of fearNot a scare show; it’s upbeat, cinematic, and kid-friendly. Suitable for families and teens who like adventure over horror.
Actors' gamePlayers repeatedly praise the GMs for being warm, enthusiastic, and accommodating. Interaction is primarily through a responsive GM on a walkie-talkie rather than heavy roleplay.
Quality of riddlesWell-crafted with a clean logic flow and a nice mix of observation, interaction, and deduction tied to different eras. Generally mid-range difficulty with satisfying aha moments and minimal busywork. Feels fair for newcomers yet still fun for enthusiasts.
PlotYou’re sent by the Doc to get the flux capacitor back in shape, hopping through time to keep the timeline intact. The story unfolds room to room with playful era transitions and a payoff ending, no lore required.
Difficulty levelMid-level overall: accessible to newer teams with hints available, and engaging enough for veterans. Doable with two if you keep momentum; larger groups will enjoy spreading out.

One of the best rooms we’ve done nearby. The theme sings, there’s plenty of space, and the puzzles strike that sweet spot of challenging yet entertaining. Fantastic set pieces and a standout ending.

Wow, new favorite at Escapable—yes, even over Loudini. It’s spacious, beautifully themed, and dripping with nostalgia, at times feeling like a Universal ride for Back to the Future. Puzzles are excellent and each section feels distinct. So much fun.

Outstanding from the first puzzle to the big finish. The set dressing is gorgeous, the difficulty mix is spot on, and everyone got moments to shine. Our GM was as kind and accommodating as on our last visit and even helped us plan a return with their special guest.

This scratched the exact Back to the Future itch I didn’t know I still had. Gorgeous sets, smart puzzles, and a finale that had us grinning. I even rocked the red puffy vest the whole time and zero regrets.

Great flow with lots of tidy aha moments and almost no filler. We did it as a pair and stayed busy the entire time, with the GM nudging us only when we stalled. Super satisfying finish.

What a fantastic game—an easy 10/10 for us. We actually preferred it to Loudini, with perfect theming, puzzles, and hosting. If there’s any complaint, it’s that we didn’t want it to end. Firmly in our top five ever.

We’ve played a few games here and the GMs are always enthusiastic. Outatime just keeps unfolding with loads to do, and sometimes you won’t know what an item is for until later—which only makes the penny-drop moments sweeter. Definitely doable as a duo if you keep moving.

Probably the best time-travel room I’ve played. We did it alongside Loudini and both were great, but this had especially satisfying, intuitive puzzle design. We’ll be back to try the rest next time we’re in England.

Our second trip to Escapable and another knockout. The 80s touches made it extra special for me, with thoughtful puzzles and a superb finale. Couldn’t recommend it more.

Took my two teens and they were buzzing the whole drive home. Nothing scary, just full-on adventure, great tunes, and a brilliant host who kept the tempo perfect for us.

Easily top-three for me this year. The era transitions are slick, puzzles land cleanly, and that ending… chef’s kiss. I liked it even more than Loudini.

Fun game with a killer vibe, but I’m not a fan of walkie-talkie hints and the first section felt a bit unclear before it clicked. Once it did, it really took off. Staff were lovely though.

This is the Back to the Future room I’ve been hunting for. Fantastic puzzle design, incredible theming, and yes—I wore the Marty-style puffy vest for the whole game.

Pure joy from start to finish in an immersive BTTF world, capped with a finale that totally delivers. One of the most fun rooms I’ve played; a must for fans and still great if you’ve never seen the films.
