AI Overview

AIPlayers consistently praise the immersive train theme and the warm, attentive hosting. Puzzles skew easy-to-mid and lean padlock/code, though several feel fresh and cleverly on-theme. The set is large and non-linear, which some duos found demanding and a bit under‑signposted. The finale lands as thrilling for many, while a few found the last step underwhelming.
WeaknessesSeveral players wanted more tech and fewer padlocks. Signposting can dip in places, so it’s possible to spin wheels or miss a link. A couple of teams felt the final puzzle lacked a big bang payoff.
StrengthsStrong Wild West atmosphere and a spacious multi-room build make it feel cinematic. Friendly, enthusiastic GMs give timely, light-touch nudges. Puzzle variety is good, with some novel moments woven into the story.
SecurityBriefings are clear and the team steps in if you accidentally block progress. The set is roomy and supervised, with guidance available when you need it.
Level of fearNot scary and family-friendly; think adventure, not horror. Suitable for kids with adults if they enjoy puzzles and the Western vibe.
Actors' gameThere are no live actors, but the game hosts get lots of love for being welcoming and reactive. Hints come only when needed, keeping agency with the team.
Quality of riddlesMostly fair and on-theme with a mix of classic locks and some neat, original ideas. The flow is generally smooth, though non-linearity means you should track what you’ve opened. Expect more traditional mechanisms than high tech.
PlotYou’re hunting the outlaw Butch Cassikey aboard a runaway train and racing to bring it to a safe stop. Stakes build toward a timed climax without spoiling the surprise.
Difficulty levelOverall easy-to-moderate, ideal for mixed groups and newer players. Duos may feel stretched by the size and split tasks, while enthusiasts will cruise but still enjoy the setting.

I loved this one—spacious, some tougher challenges, and a touch of non-linearity. Signposting isn’t always obvious, so keep track of what you’ve done; you can even block progress on one step, though the host will rescue you if needed. It’s my son’s favorite at XscapeNow.

Loved the Wild West train vibe from the first door. Big set, crunchy but fair puzzles, and our host chimed in only when we stalled—perfect. We hit the brakes with seconds left and whooped like cowboys. Total blast.

Great immersion and some puzzle ideas I hadn’t seen before. The space is large, so as a pair we had to split up and hustle, but the gentle nudges kept us moving. Would happily recommend to families and first-timers.

We leaned into the cowboy theme and had a riot. Classic locks mixed with quirky tasks, all on-theme, and the host was a gem. Came out buzzing.

What a hoot. Charming story, on-theme puzzles with a balanced mix, and hosting that nudged us only when we’d truly stalled. A really robust room.

Getting into character was a joy and the Wild West set pulls you right in. Puzzles fit the theme and run a bit easier, but several were fresh and creative. Our GM was fantastic and the whole team made us feel welcome—we’re keen to try the other rooms.

We had a good time with strong theming and a nice spread of puzzles. Difficulty leans easy, and the final step didn’t quite deliver a big escape moment for us, but the experience and lovely host still made it worthwhile.

Really fun room with clear goals and nice flow. It’s on the easier side and fairly padlock-heavy, but it’s cohesive and satisfying. Great for a mixed group night out.

One of the most intense rooms I’ve played. The cowboy train theme is excellently executed, and stopping the train with seconds to spare made the finale electric. Must-play material.

Yeehaw indeed. The set looks great, the puzzle flow clicks, and the Wild West train concept just works—hard not to smile through it.

A large multi-room build with plenty to do, though my expectations from reviews were a bit high. Most puzzles are straightforward code-and-padlock style; I’d hoped for a bit more tech in a newer room.

Trickier than we expected and tough as a duo because of the size, but still doable with a couple of well-timed nudges. Loved several puzzles, including some I’d never seen before. It’s up there as one of my favorites.

Fun, story-led Western room with a blend of classic locks and a few clever outside-the-box moments. The Xscape team’s enthusiasm shows in the build and hosting—impressive overall.

Solid set and friendly staff, but I expected more tech for a newer room. A couple of steps felt under‑signposted, and the final moment didn’t quite land for me. Still enjoyable, just not mind‑blowing.
