The Lost Crypt

Do you have what it takes to uncover the unanswered truth of the missing great Naval Surgeon, Dr James Lind, and break free from The Lost Crypt? Born in 1716, Dr Lind died in 1794, leaving questions surrounding his final resting place. Could he be buried in the family crypt in Aspire Ryde’s Holy Trinity building, along with daughter-in-law and main benefactor of the church, Elizabeth Lind? It’s possible… As historians you explore the crypt looking to uncover the truth of missing Dr Lind. But things go decidedly wrong and turn to panic. You are now stuck inside. If you cannot uncover the clues within the crypt to make your escape you could be there indefinitely…

Please ensure that you arrive 10 minutes ahead of your scheduled booking time, and make your way to reception which is located through the garden and covered porch at the north side of church (not the side with the bins), where your Escape Room host will meet you. Allow time to find parking which is not available onsite. The nearest paid car park is at the Co-op in Ryde town centre. The game is family friendly for teenagers or older children aged 8 upwards only, who can play if accompanying 2 adults. There is no adult specific content, but it is not suitable for children aged under 8 years. The game is not scary, but it is exciting and challenging. The escape room is within a confined space in an original part of a historic building not previously used other than as a burial crypt. It is not suitable for wheelchairs. Expect some low height ceilings and passages, low lighting, and cold temperatures. No food, drinks or cameras allowed inside. Phones must be placed in our safe deposit. Drunk or tipsy people are not allowed to play. Cancellation or changes must be made 48 hours in advance. Arrive 10 minutes early for briefing.
