AI Overview

AIReviews consistently praise the beautiful, immersive build and welcoming GMs. Puzzles lean toward logic and observation with a strong flow that suits both newcomers and veterans. Some players flagged a reading-heavy stretch, a slow start, and one end puzzle that only accepted a specific method. One note mentions spending a while before you’re truly in Oz.
WeaknessesA few sequences rely heavily on reading and following instructions, which can drag. The opening can be tough to crack without an early nudge, and one puzzle reportedly expects a single approach over other logical solutions. Small teams may feel the workload.
StrengthsTop-tier theming and set pieces make the world feel alive, anchored by friendly, attentive hosting. Puzzle design is creative and generally intuitive, with memorable aha moments and a satisfying journey.
SecurityNo safety concerns are mentioned in the reviews. Hosting is attentive throughout.
Level of fearNot scary and very kid-friendly; families with young children had a great time. Expect whimsy over frights.
Actors' gameNo in-room actors are mentioned, but Games Masters earn high praise for being warm, engaged, and well-timed with hints. Chris, in particular, is called out for elevating the experience.
Quality of riddlesA varied mix of logic, observation, teamwork, and some tech with fair cluing and good flow. There’s a lot to do, and while most steps feel logical, a few instruction-heavy moments and one method-sensitive puzzle are noted.
PlotYou’re swept from a prairie farmhouse into the land of Oz, uncovering the path forward as you go. The story threads through the rooms, though you may spend time before fully reaching Oz.
Difficulty levelMedium overall with bursts of challenge and a big task list, ideal for mixed-experience groups. Duos may struggle on time, while beginners still report success with guidance.

From the moment Chris greeted us, we knew we were in for something special. The set detail is jaw-dropping and the room constantly finds charming ways to pull you deeper into Oz. Puzzles hit that sweet spot of challenge and fairness, and hints arrived right when we needed a nudge. One of the best experiences we’ve had, and we’re already planning a return.

A week later and I’m still buzzing. The GM made us feel instantly welcome, and the set is packed with thoughtful touches, down to every little yellow brick. Clues gave just enough to keep us solving on our own, and the flow felt seamless. Easy five stars for fans and first-timers alike.

Chris was a star from start to finish, friendly and bang-on with hints. The room feels like stepping into a film, with clever puzzles that reward teamwork. Easily one of our favorites this year.

Beautiful room with original puzzles and a great host. We did hit a snag at the end where a solution we derived made sense but wasn’t the intended method, so it didn’t register. Aside from that, it was a fantastic experience and we’d happily return for future rooms.

An absolutely beautiful, immersive build with a fantastic GM. The puzzles clicked together nicely, yet there’s so much to do that even when it feels approachable you’re kept busy right to the end. Wholeheartedly recommend to both beginners and experienced teams.

Stunning to look at, but the first section took us a while to click and there’s a fair bit of reading-heavy instruction following. Once we found the groove it flowed better and the payoffs were sweet. Would recommend with 3–4 players.

One of the best rooms we’ve played. Theming is top-notch throughout, with standout set pieces and tech we hadn’t seen before, and the owner was really friendly. Can’t wait to come back for their next build.

Took the kids (7 and 10) and they were grinning the whole way. The sets are gorgeous and nothing felt scary. Plenty for them to do while we handled the trickier bits. We finished with seconds left and loved the finale.

This game looks superb and I’d still recommend it, but most puzzles leaned on reading and following instructions, which got tiresome. For a room called Escape From Oz, you also spend quite a while before you’re actually in Oz. That said, the setwork is lovely and there are fresh ideas I hadn’t seen before.

We didn’t escape as a team of two and could’ve used an extra pair of hands. Despite that, the care and detail in the design really stood out and we still had a blast.

As seasoned players we expected to cruise, but there’s a lot to do here. Variety is great, some neat tech, and everything ties back to the story. Not too hard, not too easy, just well balanced.

We tried as a duo and almost made it, but the workload was a bit much at times. Loved the build quality and the Oz touches, even if some steps felt a tad linear. Still a fun hour.

Gorgeous, well-built room that took us a moment to get moving. An easier first clue would have helped us find the rhythm faster, but once we did, we had a great time.
