About the escape room
In a Cornish pasty factory, an unexpected bat invasion spiced up the meat grinders, unleashing the 'Mad Pasties Disease,' a zombie-flavored virus that's now on a global adventure. The Secret Penzance medical research facility guards humanity's final shot, armed with a DNA sample from patient zero. As cities crumble like flaky crusts, time is running out to create and distribute an antidote.

AI Overview
AIPlayers love the varied, parallel puzzle design that lets teammates work at the same time. The vibe leans silly-and-gory rather than truly scary, though a few jump scares do land. Hosts and game masters get praise for warmth and a fun post-game Easter egg rundown. Duos can finish comfortably, while groups of three to four stay well occupied.
WeaknessesScare level divides opinion a bit, from mild to a few solid jumps. No recurring complaints beyond that appear in the reviews.
StrengthsLively, locally flavored story with a smooth flow and lots to do. Friendly, attentive hosting and fair puzzles keep the energy high.
SecurityGuests describe a comfortable, well-run experience with attentive staff and no safety issues noted. Accessibility specifics or detailed briefings aren’t mentioned in the reviews.
Level of fearMore Shaun-of-the-Dead goofy than nightmare fuel, with a couple of jolts. Suits nervous players and likely fine for teens with adults.
Actors' gameReviewers highlight welcoming hosts and a sharp game master who debriefs Easter eggs after escape. Little to no mention of live-actor interaction inside the room.
Quality of riddlesA good mix of logic, observation, and playful tasks, including a musical moment where your favorite song helps. Clues feel fair and the non-linear structure keeps everyone engaged.
PlotRace to stop a goofy ‘Mad Pasties’ outbreak born in a Cornish factory by tracking down a cure before the world crumbles. It plays up local flavor and zombie comedy without heavy spoilers.
Difficulty levelSolid mid-range challenge. Experienced pairs can clear it, while beginners and mixed groups should do well with guidance.
