AI Overview

AIPlayers consistently praise the atmosphere and the upbeat, supportive Game Master. Puzzles are smart with a dash of arithmetic, yet nothing feels unfair. There are a couple of light jump scares that can be removed on request. Overall difficulty sits in the middle, and it’s not a hardcore horror room.
WeaknessesA few mention the math could slow you down if fractions aren’t your thing. If you want full-on terror, this will feel tame. Minor jump scares exist, though they’re brief and optional.
StrengthsGreat hosting with flexible, on-point guidance and even schedule help. Fresh, well-thought-out puzzles and a strong local-history theme that pulls you in. The room smells and looks evocative, adding to the vibe without overshadowing gameplay.
SecurityBriefings are clear, the GM keeps a close eye, and jump scares can be switched off. No safety issues were reported in the reviews.
Level of fearMore eerie than frightening, with a couple of mild jumps. Fine for families with older kids and nervous players, especially since scares can be removed.
Actors' gameReviews highlight an energetic, friendly GM who keeps momentum without railroading. Hints are tailored to your pace, and the team is flexible and accommodating.
Quality of riddlesVaried, logical challenges with some arithmetic sprinkled in, including multiplying fractions. Clues land cleanly, and solutions feel earned rather than guessy. Veterans still find fresh ideas here.
PlotYou’re outwitting a deranged plague doctor amid the Black Death, tied into local history and the site’s grim past. The narrative stays present without getting in the way of the puzzles.
Difficulty levelSolid mid-range. Newer teams will be fine with a nudge or two, while enthusiasts won’t be bored; the light math may challenge the rusty.

Super fun experience that I’d happily recommend. There are a couple of jump scares, but they can remove them if you ask, and it’s not a horror room anyway. The Game Master had great energy, kept us on track, and tailored help to exactly what we needed. Tip: expect a bit of fractions work.

Cracking set and a GM who was both funny and razor-sharp with hints. We asked to tone down the jump scares and they happily did, which kept our nervous friend smiling. Smart puzzles, great flow, and we left buzzing.

Clean logic all the way through and clues that nudge, not spoon-feed. We barely needed hints because the signposting is fair. Exactly the kind of room that rewards teamwork.

Service was top-tier—they even shuffled our start so we could make a train. The plague-doctor story ties nicely into the area, and the puzzles had a few neat surprises. Would absolutely recommend.

Went in wanting a horror rush and got more spooky-adventure than fear, so temper expectations. That said, puzzle design is solid and the GM is excellent. I just wanted darker, gnarlier vibes.

Really fun room with a few puzzle types we hadn’t seen before, and the hosts were genuinely lovely. They even tweaked our time so we could catch a train, which we hugely appreciated.

Atmospheric from the start, with incense that adds to the vibe. There’s some maths in the mix but nothing too tough, and the gameplay feels well considered. A couple of jump scares pop up, yet they’re mild.

Loved the atmosphere, even the incense added to the feel. One math step stalled us for a minute, but it clicked and felt fair. Not terrifying, just tense in a good way.
