AI Overview

AIPlayers highlight the lush inn set and solid build that pull you straight into the story. The GM acts in character as the bartender, steering the team with gentle, well-timed nudges. Puzzles lean toward observation and communication with a few unique mechanics, including a neat padlock twist. There’s some crawling, so long trousers beat shorts.
WeaknessesCrawl sections can be uncomfortable, especially in shorts or for anyone with cranky knees. The observation and teamwork focus may irk players who want pure logic or minimal searching.
StrengthsImmersive period set, spot‑on music, and an in‑character GM who keeps the pace smooth. Fresh, satisfying puzzles that fit the theme and spark a few giggles.
SecurityStandard briefing and attentive oversight are evident. Expect a few low sections that require crawling; dress comfortably and mind your knees.
Level of fearNot scary; the vibe is cozy and playful. Feels suitable for families and nervous first‑timers.
Actors' gameThe GM doubles as the bar keep, staying in character while guiding the team with light-touch hints. Reviewers credit them with great energy and flow control.
Quality of riddlesMix of observation, communication, and tactile moments, with at least one clever padlock gimmick. Solutions feel fair and gratifying, and the variety keeps momentum up without chaos.
PlotYou’re guests in an old inn piecing together its secrets as you explore room by room. The bartender ties the story together through in-world interactions without heavy exposition.
Difficulty levelModerate and teamwork-forward, good for mixed groups and first-timers. Puzzle-hardened teams won’t breeze it, but the emphasis on communication over crunch may shape your mileage.

This was our standout game at the venue. Beautifully built with a fun concept, plenty of variety, and some good laughs; puzzles lean on observation and communication, there’s a clever padlock idea, and the in-character GM fits the era perfectly. Tip: avoid shorts because there’s some crawling and my knees complained.

Loved the period touches and that smart padlock mechanic that unlocks different bits as you go. Communication mattered more than raw puzzle grind, which our group enjoyed. Solid evening out.

We laughed a lot, especially at a ridiculous horse gag, and still got that sweet puzzle payoff. Family-friendly, zero scares, just good vibes with an in-character host. Top pick from our trip.

Rich set, great lighting, and the music sealed the vibe. Puzzles felt fresh but fair, with a couple of grin-worthy reveals. Left smiling and already planning our next room.

The barkeep GM absolutely made it for us. They nudged when needed without breaking character, and the finale clicked so cleanly we cheered. Would happily replay if I could forget it all.

Fun theme, but the crawling wasn’t my thing and a lot hinged on spotting small details. Our team stalled until the GM gave a nudge, then it flowed. Still decent overall.

Fantastic room with several elements I’d never seen before. The GM was brilliant and the music set the mood just right.
