AI Overview

AIPlayers consistently praise the theming, props, and the mix of linear and non‑linear puzzle tracks. Flow can feel murky at times, with a few reports of unclear feedback and the odd puzzle not behaving as expected. Staff support is a highlight and the room works for two to four players, with some calling it the stronger second chapter. Difficulty skews higher than part one for many teams.
WeaknessesSeveral players mention confusing progression and not knowing what a solve unlocked. A few puzzles reportedly misfired or didn’t function cleanly, which added frustration.
StrengthsRich, magical set dressing and tactile props sell the world. Varied puzzles keep different minds engaged, and GMs are attentive without being pushy. The player portal with photos and stats is a fun bonus.
SecurityNo specific safety issues raised in reviews; standard briefing and hinting apply. Nothing suggests heavy physicality or jump scares.
Level of fearNot a scare-fest; it’s more whimsical magic than horror. Should be fine for families and kids who enjoy puzzles and fantasy vibes.
Actors' gameNo live actors noted inside the room; interaction is mainly with the game host. GMs get strong praise for being welcoming, remembering returning teams, and delivering timely nudges.
Quality of riddlesA wider range of satisfying puzzles than part one for some, with a blend of linear and open tracks. Expect a bit more brain-burn and some steps that need sharper signposting. Occasional tech or logic hiccups were reported by a minority.
PlotYou sneak into Hagwin’s Hut to recover long-lost magical items and the Powerful Artefact before a rising dark force takes over. It’s framed as the second chapter in a spellbound saga, with no spoilers needed to enjoy the quest.
Difficulty levelMid-to-tough, with moments that can stall teams who prefer very clear guidance. Works as two, but three to four feels comfy if you like to divide and conquer.

We tackled it as a duo and loved returning for the sequel. Worth the wait: great set and props, a tidy mix of non-linear and focused sections, and our GM Tim was welcoming and even remembered us. Easy to recommend.

Gorgeous set, friendly host, and that player portal with photos and stats is such a nice touch. A couple puzzles made us think hard but never felt unfair. Easily one of my favorite magical themes lately.

We did it as a pair and got out with a few nudges. The mix of linear bits and side threads felt good, though one transition was a head-scratcher. Solid challenge overall.

Chapter two of the spell academy theme lands well. The blend of linear and open paths worked for our group of four, it demanded more thinking than part one, and would still be doable with two.

We played both chapters and had a blast. The sets look superb and the puzzle flow felt smooth. These ended up being our favorites at the location.

This room confused me more than others here, even though several puzzles were fresh and fun. I often wasn’t sure what we’d unlocked or what to do next, but the player portal with photos and gameplay stats was a cool extra. Not a bad room—just not my favorite at this venue.

Went as a four and it felt nicely busy. A notch trickier than part one, and a couple solves didn’t clearly signal what opened, but the variety kept us buzzing.

Theme is fantastic and the staff were lovely, but we hit a puzzle that didn’t seem to work right and the flow got messy. Still had fun, just left a little frustrated.

Good room and the second part of the story. I enjoyed this one more than part one thanks to the broader set of satisfying puzzles.

Fun ideas and strong theming, but a few puzzles didn’t behave and the flow got confusing. The GMs were great though, which helped smooth the bumps.

Best vibes at this venue for me. The puzzles clicked, the room looked great, and the finale landed. If you can, play both chapters—this one shines.
