Twisted Tales

The strange disappearance of Olivia is on everyone’s lips in town. Her husband, Alexander, a well-revered author, is becoming increasingly desperate and, as a result, has asked for your aid in the hopes of Olivia’s safe return. Rarely are the couple seen together. She was last seen on the edge of town with an odd figure—a withered, crooked, elderly man in a black robe. Upon reaching the edge of town, roughly where it was claimed she was last seen, you come across a bizarre, ancient-looking book on the ground. A quick scan reveals its contents, which speak of a parallel world unlike our own, where fiction and reality blur. After flicking to and reading a bookmarked page stained with what appears to be blood, you are suddenly overcome by an abrupt falling sensation. Without warning, the stories in your hand begin to crumble to dust. As you lift your face from the book’s pages, what you find around you is not the same quiet village you had ventured into. You are now someplace entirely new and eerie, with chapters sprawled across the walls. There’s more to this vanishing than meets the eye. With Alexander so fixated on his writing and novels, perhaps, unwittingly, Olivia has been caught in her own twisted tale…
