About the escape room

Step onto a pirate galleon in the middle of a battle for control of the High Seas. Your captain, the terrifying Blackbeard, has just been killed and his ship is shot to pieces and sinking fast. With no chance of victory, you and your scurvy shipmates decide to jump ship – after helping yourself to the contents of Blackbeard’s legendary treasure chest. You’ve broken into his cabin to grab all you can, but now the door has jammed shut and you’ve just 60 minutes to escape; any longer and you’ll drown – if the sharks don’t get you first.

Brief assessment
from Navigator AI
Climb aboard a battered pirate galleon and crack Blackbeard’s secrets before the ship goes under. Big on atmosphere and friendly to first-timers, it blends creative, pirate-flavored puzzles with a brisk, cinematic flow.

Overview of artificial intelligence

AIPlayers frequently praise the immersive set and cohesive pirate storyline. Puzzles are often called creative and intuitive, though the game leans linear and on the easier side. Some report worn or broken props and an occasional unclear step, with hints sometimes arriving too fast.
WeaknessesA few props feel tired or finicky, which can break immersion. Logic hiccups appear for some, the structure is quite linear, and a couple of teams felt the hinting was a bit hasty.
StrengthsRich theming sells the sinking-ship vibe, and several puzzles land with satisfying aha moments. Flow is smooth for small groups and welcoming for newer teams.
SecurityStandard monitoring and briefing keep things straightforward, with no physical stunts noted. Allowing drinks inside suggests a low-risk, relaxed environment.
Level of fearMore swashbuckling adventure than scare—you’ll get tension, not terror. Suitable for families and kids who like a bit of pirate peril without horror.
Actors' gameNo live actors are mentioned; interaction is mainly through a game master for hints. Staff get credit for a warm welcome, and drinks are allowed inside.
Quality of riddlesMost feedback calls the puzzles intuitive and creative, with a few standouts that reward lateral or even light physics thinking. Variety is decent, but progression is mostly one track at a time. Occasional ambiguity or wear can muddy a step here and there.
PlotYou’re looting Blackbeard’s cabin during a sea battle and racing to escape before the galleon sinks. The story unfolds linearly as you uncover the captain’s secrets and locks.
Difficulty levelSkews easy to mid, ideal for beginners and mixed groups. Veterans may breeze through, especially in larger teams where linear flow limits parallel solving.

Loved the pirate theme and the way the story moves you from lock to lock. It’s pretty linear, so our group of five had a few spectators at times; I’d go with three or four. Still, we left grinning and humming sea shanties.

Clever, intuitive puzzles with a couple of cheeky twists, and the ship set looks legit. It’s on the easier side, and one step’s logic was fuzzy, but we still had a blast. Family-friendly adventure vibes, not spooky.

We had a blast—strong pirate atmosphere and puzzles that felt thoughtfully built, including one we solved thanks to a bit of physics know-how. Super fun from start to finish.

Creative flow, great use of theme, and one puzzle made my inner science nerd very happy. No actors, just a helpful GM when needed, which kept the pace smooth. Would happily sail again.

The decoration is top-notch and sells the setting completely. It felt surprisingly realistic in there.
