The Curse of Mount Clifton Manor

The Curse of Mount Clifton Manor will be a gothic horror escape room in Exeter, and the next chapter in the story of a family that should never be forgotten. Set in 1848, this is not a room built on cheap thrills or sudden shocks. It is a story of grief, darkness, and a deal made long ago that cannot easily be undone. Five distinct chapters. A family in need of saving. Dare you uncover what really became of the Cliftons? Mount Clifton Manor has been silent for many years. In 1848, Lord Albert Clifton was found dead under circumstances the church was quick to dismiss. His family, a wife, and two children, simply vanished. Sent to recover Albert’s diary and establish the fate of the Cliftons, your investigation begins in the cold of the undercroft. What you find there will lead you deeper into the manor, and deeper into a darkness that has been waiting a very long time for someone to find it.

This room is coming late 2026. It is actively atmospheric with a few minor jump scares and tense music. Access to children ages 5 & under is free, but their places would still contribute to the maximum room capacity. Children aged 16 and under will need a participating adult aged 18 or over as part of their team entering the experience. Pregnant visitors and those with medical conditions should consult the venue before booking. The door remains open during the game for safety and convenience. No liquids or alcohol allowed on site. No filming or photography inside the games. Arrive 15 minutes early for briefing. Limited free parking on site, alternative parking on Clifton Hill Road (2 hours max).
