AI Overview

AIReviews agree the game splits into a short linear escape and a non-linear loot phase where you collect as many gold bars as possible. Hosting gets frequent praise for smooth running and well-timed nudges. Puzzles lean toward logic, ciphers, and communication with minimal searching, and difficulty ranges from easy wins to chewy challenges. It’s not the most original theme, but flow and value win players over.
WeaknessesThe opening escape can feel brief and the theme isn’t wildly original. Some players wanted a bigger wow factor or more elaborate set dressing. The logic-heavy style may not suit teams who prefer exploration and search.
StrengthsSmooth flow with varied, fair puzzles that make sense. The scoring-style second half keeps everyone engaged and competitive to the buzzer. Game masters are attentive and supportive without over-hinting.
SecurityClear briefings and a calm, controlled environment reported by players. With no scare elements, mixed groups tend to feel comfortable.
Level of fearZero scare factor—no jump scares. Family-friendly and comfortable for first-timers.
Actors' gameMultiple shout-outs to the GMs for upbeat hosting and spot-on hints, including named praise for Ben and Adam. Interaction is supportive and light, keeping momentum without spoiling discoveries.
Quality of riddlesStarts linear, then branches into parallel tasks heavy on decoding, logic, and ciphers with little searching. Most puzzles are fair and self-contained, with a few that shine with two people coordinating. Difficulty varies enough to suit mixed-experience teams.
PlotBreak into a high-security bank, then pivot to a timed smash-and-grab to steal as much gold as you can. It’s less about twists and more about efficient teamwork under pressure.
Difficulty levelApproachable for beginners in the first phase, but optimisation in the second half will test enthusiasts. Duos can do well, though extra hands help cover parallel tasks and comms-heavy puzzles.

Did it as a duo and you’ll likely use the whole hour—roughly 20–30 minutes for the escape, then it’s all about the haul. Minimal searching, lots of standalone decode/logic/cipher challenges that suit mathy brains, and several are best tackled by two people coordinating. Family friendly with no jump scares. We had a blast and want to try their other rooms.

Loved the two-stage design: quick crack-in then an all-out puzzle sprint. We played as two and still kept busy the whole hour, finishing with 11 bars. Clean logic, barely any searching, and the host nudged perfectly when we stalled.

Heist themes are common, but this one flows beautifully with a broad puzzle range. The first act is a straightforward linear run, then it shifts into a steal‑what‑you‑can puzzle fest; theming is simple yet effective, difficulty varies, and even one of the tools feels like a puzzle. Adam nudged us expertly when needed. Feels like an underrated gem in Derby and absolutely worth a visit.

The escape bit took us about twenty minutes, then it switched to full-on bank robbery. We loved the blend of linear and non‑linear tasks that let different teammates shine.

Good mix of ciphers and logic with hardly any rummaging, which suits me fine. The scoring format kept everyone engaged right to the buzzer. Would recommend to teams that like thinking fast.

A very solid room—maybe not wildly original, but tight, fun, and hosted really well. We nabbed 12 of the 15 bars within the hour, then they kindly let the timer run so we could clear the lot. If you’re anywhere near Derby, it’s worth a stop.

Not the flashiest set, but it runs so smoothly and the puzzles click. Our GM kept hints minimal and on point, which made the final rush super satisfying. Great value for a team night.

Took the kids (12 and 15) and it was spot on—no scares, just solid brainwork. Communication puzzles were clever and we split up for the non-linear bits. We left buzzing with 10 bars.

Played as two and liked the mix of linear and open puzzles. Not the best heist we’ve done, but still a fun time with solid set and props.

Really slick and varied, with a full hour to grab as much gold as you can. We went in as a pair and still pulled 10 bars.

It plays like two games in one: a brief escape to start, then a collection phase where you hoover up loot. Nicely executed.

A strong heist with plenty of varied puzzles and excellent hosting from Ben. There’s loads to do in sixty minutes and the price feels fair.

Fun heist, though the opening escape felt a bit short and I wanted a bigger wow moment. Second half redeems it with loads to chew on. Still happy we went.
