About the escape room
Are you brave enough to step into our multi-award-winning scary escape room Derby? Search for a missing staff member inside a haunted Victorian workshop and escape before the shadows claim you too.
The Mission: A Stitch in Time Gone Horribly Wrong
Our colleague Edith stepped through a test portal and landed straight inside a creepy Victorian dressmaker’s workshop. When a portal malfunctions, standard company protocol is to shut it down and come right back. Edith didn’t. Something stopped her, and she has gone completely off the grid.
We need a truly fearless team to go in, find out what happened to her, and manually shut down the malfunctioning portal before it tears a hole in reality. Just try not to look too closely at the mannequins.
This is our signature horror experience—and yes, we have the trophies to prove it! Expect an intense, deeply unsettling atmosphere and several moments of absolute, pitch-black darkness. It is definitely not for the faint-hearted, but if you love a genuine thrill paired with incredible set design, this is your ultimate challenge.
Important information and features of the escape room
Accessibility Note: Surviving the Victorian era takes a bit of agility. Entering and exiting the first room requires everyone on your team to crawl through a reasonably generous, 3-meter-long tunnel. Because of the heavy psychological scares and total darkness, this mission is recommended for players aged 16 and over.

AI Overview
AIPlayers rave about the set, lighting, and sound, calling it tense, creepy, and immersive. The puzzle load skews light and often feels easy, with some groups finishing in under 30 minutes. Actor presence and hinting vary by run, and loud audio sometimes makes team communication tough. Darkness adds to the vibe but can tip into frustrating visibility issues for some.
WeaknessesNot many puzzles and difficulty is on the lighter side, so veterans may breeze through. Hinting can be overbearing and actor involvement inconsistent. The soundtrack can be too loud and the room overly dark for some groups.
StrengthsTop-tier atmosphere with great use of space, lighting, and sound that sells the horror. A standout team moment where you split up adds drama and variety. Hosts are generally caring, calming nervous players and keeping the pace up.
SecurityBriefings are solid and staff are attentive, with the option to step out if overwhelmed. Be aware of very low light and loud audio if you’re sensitive to either.
Level of fearFirmly in the scary camp with jumpy moments and sustained tension; not ideal for kids or easily spooked players. Intensity varies by team, but several people tapped out early.
Actors' gameHosts get praise for warmth and quick support, but reports on live-actor interaction are mixed. Some runs had heavy walkie-talkie guidance or offstage bangs instead of in-room acting.
Quality of riddlesMostly straightforward with a modest count, which fits the high-stress vibe but may underwhelm puzzle-hungry teams. A few neat tasks and the forced split-up sequence stand out. Fair overall, just not deep or numerous.
PlotYou’re finishing what Edith started: shutting down a unstable time portal after she vanished. The story threads through the spaces without heavy exposition or spoilers.
Difficulty levelEasy to medium puzzles; stress and darkness can add challenge for newcomers. Experienced teams may clear it quickly, sometimes well under the hour.
