About the escape room

We sent a previous party, who established a camp within the walls of a locked temple beside the Tambo river, but we’ve since lost communication with them.

Your mission will be dangerous. You’ll have to explore the jungle, master puzzles, avoid traps and who knows what else. Have your wits about you with this one.

Go for the jaw‑dropping temple environment, bold physical moments, and a couple of audacious surprises you won’t see coming. You’ll get a bit sandy and maybe wet, but the Indiana‑Jones vibe utterly delivers.

AI Overview

AIReviews gush about the set design and atmosphere, calling out unique, physical interactions and memorable wow moments. Expect sand and water features, a non‑linear flow, and approachable difficulty that still feels engaging. Some players felt a few puzzles were tired, longwinded, or leaned too hard on tiny searches and padlocks, yet most still had a blast. Hosting is consistently praised as friendly and well‑judged.
WeaknessesYou may get soaked and shoes can fill with sand, so wardrobe matters. A minority found parts a bit illogical or overlong, with some worn paper clues and an excess of small padlocks and micro‑searching.
StrengthsStunning, immersive build with cinematic effects and several unforgettable set pieces. Nice blend of search, physical, and mental tasks keeps everyone involved, and the non‑linear structure lets teams split up naturally.
SecurityExpect sand and water underfoot; wear sturdy shoes you don’t mind getting messy. Physical sections exist, but teams can choose who tackles them and staff keep an eye on progress.
Level of fearThis is adventure, not horror, and several players called it family‑friendly. There’s tension from traps and physical bits, but nothing designed to scare.
Actors' gameNo live actors mentioned, but game hosts get strong praise for warmth and well‑timed nudges. Finley and the GM team are singled out for keeping immersion high without overstepping.
Quality of riddlesVaried mix of tactile, spatial, search, and logic with decent signposting; generally fair and satisfying. A few puzzles feel dated or fiddly, and veterans may breeze through parts. Overall quality is buoyed by the environment and some inventive mechanics.
PlotYou’re retracing a lost party into a locked jungle temple by the Tambo River, picking through traps and mysteries to learn what happened. It’s a pulpy expedition with a relic at its heart, told through the space rather than exposition.
Difficulty levelOn the easier, approachable side for this venue, good for first‑timers and families. Experienced teams may find it straightforward but still rewarding thanks to flow and set pieces.

A top‑tier room with incredible theming and deep immersion. Great balance of searching, physical, and mental puzzles in a non‑linear but approachable format, with some unique touches; experts might find it straightforward but still a lot of fun.

Stunning setting and a bit more physicality than usual, which we loved. The puzzles felt authentic and fairly clued; we only needed one hint and still went about 38 seconds over thanks to thoughtful hosting.

Utterly gorgeous room. The river and sand effects sell the story, and there’s a jaw‑drop moment that had our whole team grinning. Wear trainers you don’t love, then enjoy the ride.

One of the most extraordinary escape experiences I’ve had, packed with wow moments and bold twists. The set is exceptional with brilliant surprises, and while the puzzles aren’t overly tough, the river, the pit, and that quicksand made it unforgettable.

Gorgeous build with a few unforgettable effects, and the puzzles were more playable for us than in Shamleys. Still, there was too much random searching for tiny bits, heaps of miniature padlocks, and some worn paper that pulled us out of it.

Immersion is A+, but a few puzzles felt stretched and one clue sheet was pretty worn. Came out sandy, mildly damp, and still smiling, just not mind‑blown.

Loved the atmosphere but there was too much rummaging for tiny bits and a parade of little padlocks for my taste. Still, the space is stunning and the water element is a cool twist.

Another beautiful Darkmaster set with epic, grin‑inducing moments. A few puzzles dragged or felt a bit illogical, but it didn’t spoil things for us—and I wouldn’t wear nice shoes here.

Fantastic room—very physical with excellent scenery and a couple of standout surprises. A few puzzles felt a little worn, but the theming is so strong it barely mattered.

You have to play this room. It does something I’ve never seen, and the moment we realized what to do was pure childlike joy; the atmosphere and environment are masterfully designed.

We loved this one, our favorite at Darkmaster. Without giving anything away, there are a couple of unusual, super‑fun elements, and I’d say it suits families; some bits are mildly physical, but not everyone has to do them.

So many fresh ideas I hadn’t seen before, and yes, you’ll likely end up a bit sandy and slightly wet—but totally worth it. Big shout‑out to our host Finley, who was brilliant throughout.

Took the kids and it was spot on for a family team. A couple of physical sections were handled by the grown‑ups and the GM gave just the right nudge at the end. Everyone left buzzing.

As an enthusiast, I adored the non‑linear flow and one mechanic I’ve never seen before. Not the hardest game, but the set and surprises make it a must‑play.

Good fun overall. We both finished soaked with sand in our shoes, so plan accordingly.
