AI Overview

AIPlayers consistently praise the strong theme, atmospheric decor, and coherent story flow. Puzzles are described as logical and satisfying. The common knocks are worn or finicky props and uneven operations, including slow GM response. Actor involvement exists but execution can undercut the scare.
WeaknessesSome set pieces feel cheap or tired, and a few mechanisms don’t trigger cleanly. Staff oversight can be spotty, and one group saw an actor’s reveal spoiled by front-desk exposure.
StrengthsImmersive setting with a clear narrative thread that ties puzzles together. Good variety of challenges that feel fair and solvable without leaps.
SecurityNo safety issues are mentioned in the reviews; standard briefing is assumed but not detailed. No data on strobes, crawling, or content warnings.
Level of fearCreepy and tense rather than extreme; likely fine for older teens and horror-curious adults. Seasoned scare-seekers may want more intensity.
Actors' gameReports mention limited but present actor interaction, though timing and concealment weren’t always handled well. When it lands, it adds to the tension; when it doesn’t, it breaks immersion.
Quality of riddlesFeedback points to well-structured, readable puzzles with a sensible progression. There’s a decent mix instead of pure search tasks, and solutions feel earned. A few props may be temperamental, but the logic holds.
PlotSet in a shuttered 1931 institute haunted by a doctor’s legacy, the game leans into sinister experiments and buried secrets. The narrative unfolds as you progress, without getting in the way of play.
Difficulty levelModerate, approachable for first-timers and enjoyable for regulars; teams have escaped without hints. Puzzle hunters may find it comfortable rather than punishing.

Loved the bleak asylum look and the way each solve nudged the story forward. Our group of five stayed busy and only needed one nudge, which felt fair. Scares were more eerie than in-your-face, which suited us.

We liked this room more than expected. The puzzles are good, the story flows, and we finished without hints, but staff didn’t realize we’d escaped for a while—that ongoing issue holds the place back.

Went with six and everyone got something to do. Sets look good in low light, the story is clear, and the fear level is manageable for mixed groups.

Tons of potential, but the execution fell short. Strong decor and theme weren’t fully used, and the actor reveal was blown because we’d seen them at the front desk; the in-room bit was flubbed. With a few tweaks it could be much scarier.

Puzzles chain together beautifully and the atmosphere is deliciously grim. We caught a small actor moment that spiked the tension at just the right time. One of our favorite horror-light rooms lately.

Great concept, but some props felt beat-up and a couple of resets seemed off. We still had fun, just wished the scares were tighter and the tech less finicky.

We had a rough run with a lock that wouldn’t open even with the correct combo and it killed the momentum. Also waited ages for the GM to notice we needed help. Cool theme, but the night just didn’t click.

Overall an okay room. Some construction felt cheap and a few worn props didn’t work quite right, so parts could use fixing.

Our team of six really enjoyed the theme and the attention to detail throughout.
