AI Overview

AIPlayers rave about the elevator illusion, saying the set looks and moves convincingly. The room is linear, puzzle-forward, and uses modern tech without ditching hands-on tasks. Space is tight, so small groups shine. It’s eerie rather than full-on scary, with attentive GMs boosting confidence and momentum.
WeaknessesThe room is physically small, so larger teams may feel cramped or idle due to the linear path. A couple of puzzles can be sticky if you miss a detail. Those uneasy with heights or lifts might feel a wobble at the start.
StrengthsTop-tier theming and a convincing movement simulation sell the elevator fantasy. Puzzles flow cleanly with satisfying reveals and a good mix of tech and tactile elements. The design squeezes a surprising amount into a compact footprint.
SecurityIt’s a simulated lift, not a real one, and staff explain that clearly before you start. The team monitors closely and keeps things safe while the effects do their job.
Level of fearSpooky vibes and tense moments, but not a horror room. Suitable for most teens and skittish adults, especially with a heads-up about the simulated elevator.
Actors' gameNo live actors inside, but the GM presence is warm and engaged. Staff encouragement and timely reassurance add to the experience without breaking immersion.
Quality of riddlesA fair blend of electronic and manual puzzles with plenty to touch, align, and decode. The linear ascent reveals challenges in stages, rewarding teamwork and observation. Clues feel logical; the occasional snag comes from overlooked details rather than trickery.
PlotYou bargain with the hotel’s last owner to hunt down his missing fortune before time runs out. The elevator carries you floor by floor toward the 13th, with the hotel’s past unfolding as you climb.
Difficulty levelModerate and welcoming to newcomers, with enough texture for enthusiasts. Duos handle it well; bigger crews may find fewer simultaneous tasks due to the linear flow.

We chased the TERPECA-nominated 13th Floor and it delivered. A modern 2.0 room with electronic locks and clever immersion, it uses a small footprint brilliantly. The set felt so real that our teammate with a fear of heights hesitated until GM Alex explained it’s a simulation. The linear ascent unveils tactile, teamwork-heavy puzzles, spooky but never outright scary. We finished with about ten minu

Atmosphere is excellent and the GM was on point. I only wish there were more parallel tasks since our group of four had some waiting around.

That elevator illusion is wild. We played as a pair and the space felt perfect, puzzles clicked one after another, and the finale landed nicely. Big recommend.

One of our favorites so far. It’s impressively clever how many puzzles they’ve woven into such a compact area, and we beat it as two experienced players.

Gave me Tower of Terror energy in the best way. We played as a duo and got a few unexpected gameplay twists; I wouldn’t pack it with too many more people. Definitely worth a visit.

Slick tech, moody set, and a couple of great reveals. One puzzle felt a bit vague and the room is snug, but overall a strong, modern game.

Great room, and we were glad to go in as a small team since space is limited. Super enjoyable and easily my favorite at ERC.
