About the escape room
Little is known about the Cromwell’s family massacre that occurred on the night of Friday 13th November 1970. History says, Mr Cromwell bought his wife a unique pendant that was possessed with the most demonic of spirits, making him horrifically take the lives of his wife, two children and then himself. Many are too fearful to enter the abandoned house but it is thought, if the pendant can be found and removed from the house before the sun rises on the anniversary of the massacre, The Cromwell’s will be exorcised from the house, but those who fail, they too will be massacred at the hands of Mr Cromwell and his family. Do you think you have what it takes to save the house from this unhinged possessed family?

AI Overview

AIPlayers consistently praise the varied, thematic puzzles, smooth flow, and a standout ending. One team hit tech snags with a Wi‑Fi hint device and a couple of mid-game props that didn’t trigger, which broke immersion. Fear intensity feels team-dependent, ranging from creepy to terrifying. Hosts come across as friendly and helpful.
WeaknessesOccasional tech hiccups with the handheld hint device can force the host to step in and disrupt the mood. A few isolated prop malfunctions led to content being skipped for one group.
StrengthsRich atmosphere, smart use of space, and puzzles that feel fair and fit the story. The final sequence gets repeated shout-outs. Staff are welcoming and supportive.
SecurityNo safety issues reported; staff step in quickly if tech misbehaves. Briefing specifics aren’t mentioned, but supervision sounds attentive.
Level of fearAnything from unsettling to scream-worthy depending on your nerves. Likely fine for nervous newcomers with braver friends, but the tone may be a bit much for young children.
Actors' gameNo clear signs of live scare actors; interaction is mainly through the hint device and a responsive game master. The host is described as friendly and attentive.
Quality of riddlesVaried, logical, and strongly themed, with a satisfying flow. The finale effect is especially well executed. A small number of puzzles were skipped due to a malfunction for one team.
PlotYou’re hunting a cursed pendant to free the Cromwell family before sunrise, with stakes that keep the pressure on. The story threads through the rooms without getting in the way of play.
Difficulty levelModerate and approachable, good for mixed-experience groups. Even when players fumble, the hint system helps keep momentum when it’s working.

Friendly host and a strong game overall, but our handheld hint screen kept dropping Wi‑Fi so the GM had to come in to reconnect, which pulled us out of the moment. A couple of things in the second room didn’t work and were skipped, which was a shame because the first and last spaces were great, with a fantastic finale. I’d still recommend it and chalk it up to bad luck on the day.

Atmosphere is great and the story gives you urgency, but a couple of triggers didn’t fire for us so we skipped bits and the vibe dipped. Staff tried to help and we still finished, just not as slick as it could be.

Beautifully creepy sets and a finale that had us grinning like idiots. Puzzles made sense and tied right into the story, which I love. Not extreme gore, just solid atmosphere and a few proper jumps. Would do again.

Great room with a couple of tech wobbles. Our hint tablet kept dropping Wi‑Fi so the host had to pop in, which broke the tension, but the puzzles still flowed and the ending was ace.

I dodged spooky rooms for ages until my friends booked this on New Year’s Day, and it won me over. The flow is smooth, there’s tons to explore, and it’s more creepy than outright scary. Definitely recommend.

Loved how every puzzle felt like part of the house instead of random locks. Clever use of space and a brilliant final effect. Came out buzzing.

We screamed, we laughed, we escaped. The game moves at a nice clip and the scares are fun rather than mean. Horror fans will have a blast here.

We absolutely terrified ourselves in this one, and Bec was screaming at basically nothing. We messed up loads but it stayed fun from start to finish. If you like horror, this hits the spot.
